Congress is set to meet Wednesday to decide if they will take action to delay this transition by another four months. Nielsen has estimated that as many as 6 million homes are still not ready for the transition. Does congress really think another four months is going to bring 6 million people on board? Will manufacturers step-up production and produce another 6 million converters? Will the GOV by another 6 million convertors and subsidize their prices to make them more affordable to everyone. And lastly will those final 6 million people have access to them and have then money to buy them?
I agree with most experts, delaying the transistion again will only make matters worse. Make the change already!
