The exciting world of Infomercialing

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook, and I found it to intriguing that I needed to pass it on.

The New York Times reports on your favorite infomercial, and mine, the Snuggle, specifically how many knockoffs and imitations can make money off of a single idea. It’s an interesting idea, how a piece of media, even really bad media, can impact culture.

Personally, I’m amazed that “creators” of the garment have managed to make any money at all, when the design is so easy to rip off.
