More news from Fox, Osbournes: Reloaded debuted last night, but several Fox affiliates refused to air the show, and even more refused to air it Fox’s suggested time slot after American Idol.
“It seemed too harsh for the (American Idol) audience going into it-kids, families, grandparents,” says WFLX VP/General Manager John Spinola. “Without being able to see the show, I had to make a decision.”
Among the stations refusing to air the show were WXIX Cincinnati, WFLX West Palm Beach and WGHP Greensboro. Station general manager David Cavileer put The Simpsons on in the time slot instead of the Osbournes.
