Facebook opened voting on its governing documents to the site’s 200 million + users. So far, no one seems interested. This comes as a response to the outcry earlier this year when Facebook changed it’s governing documents to allow for less privacy. So far not enough people have cast votes for the votes to be binding.
Facebook said the vote would be binding only if 30 percent of the site’s active users voted. That would be 60 million people.
More than 640,000 people have cast ballots by Thursday afternoon. Spokesman Barry Schnitt says Facebook plans to announce the results and “next steps” Friday.
